Mini Weekend Recap

Oh what a weekend! I made a not-that-long to-do list and still managed not to do most things on it. Whoops! Even without accomplishing everything, I had a great, mostly low-key weekend. It’s kind of amazing how just a couple of plans can take up most of your weekend and while I certainly wanted to do some apartment organizing, it just didn’t happen. I also didn’t get to write any blog posts which is why this is going live Monday night.

I was pretty on-top of my workouts, I swam Friday night, biked 30 miles Saturday morning and ran 8 miles Sunday morning. I was supposed to throw another swim in Sunday night but I had to make a decision between that or cooking dinner and food prepping for the week plus getting a good nights sleep, so I opted for the latter.

I attended a beautiful Brooklyn wedding…

Spent time with lil Ollie, especially on Sunday when the NYC weather was complete perfection. Side note, MM was out of town over the weekend and being a single dog mom is tough work!

Saw Wicked and had some down time to prepare for the week ahead. I’m going in to this new week feeling very refreshed, even if I still have items waiting from my to-do list. Luckily this coming weekend is a long one that will be spent in the city before the craziness of summer gets underway.

Here’s a look at this week’s Ironman 70.3 training plan:

  • Monday: 40 minute bike
  • Tuesday: 4 mile run (am weather permitting), swim 1,200 yards
  • Wednesday: 40 minute bike
  • Thursday: 40 minute bike, swim 800 yards
  • Friday: 800 yard swim, yoga
  • Saturday: Bike 25 miles
  • Sunday: Run 7 miles, swim 1,000 yards

In conclusion, happy Monday, let’s get this week moving.
