Thoughts on Making a Change

September 3, 2014

I don’t talk much about my real job on here but to give you a little info, up until yesterday I did marketing at IFC (home of Portlandia) and after 2+ years I was eager for a change. I’m super excited to be starting a new adventure next week, I’ll be doing marketing at Seventeen Magazine and can’t wait for the new opportunity and challenges that will come along with it.

With summer coming to an end, change is in the air and I’m welcoming this one with open arms. Yesterday I tossed out about 1,000 unused business cards and was on my way. I’ve made some good friends at my last job and learned a lot, a lot of which I’ll bring to my new role. Before I get started I get a few days off and I’m overwhelmed with happiness about being able do a little bit of nothing. I’m taking the time to do things I’ve been putting off; clean out my closet, donate clothes, go shopping, dry cleaning, laundry, meal planning, so on and so forth.

I came across this top at Banana Republic shortly after giving my notice and had to buy it, it was meant to be.

Shop the outfit: Banana Republic T-Shirt (new but can’t find it online!) / BR Box Pleat Skirt $79.50 (*30% off until 9/4) / BaubleBar Necklace (old) / Chinese Laundry Nude Heels / Kate Spade Bag (from the outlet, similar to this)

And my new job isn’t the only change around here. MM started grad school this week! We took some goofy first-day-of-school pics to document the occasion:

And a reminder, I’m participating in the Whole30 challenge for the month of September. You can follow my progress and get recipes HERE.
