Cycle for Survival Roundup!
This weekend Cycle for Survival hit NYC and it was a complete blast. I spent the majority of my weekend cycling and hanging at the event and I loved every second. Saturday morning I lead a 45 minute class to over 100 students, talk about intimidating! It was a scary experience but I’m proud of myself for getting up there and doing it. I got the crowd going and there was dancing in the aisles so I’d call it a success (I’ll post my playlist soon). I also rode along with my fellow instructors for 3 hours. Exhausting but great.
Then Saturday team Shapin’ Up took to the bikes and between 8 riders and two bikes we road throughout the 4-hour event. I’m so proud of my team, we were the #6 fundraising team for our session and raised over $11,000, 100% of which will go towards rare cancer research.
I’m so proud to be a part of this amazing event, both as an Equinox instructor and as a participant. Cycle for Survival raised over 19 million dollars this year and over 51 million dollars since the event began not so many years ago.
I hope to participate in the future and continue the fight to find cures for rare cancer. Thank you all for your support!
