Am I an expert on shopping and gift giving? Not particularly. But there is something I know a lot about—new mom life. I’m keeping it simple over here and focusing on gifts that new moms will love (and seasoned moms too!).
You’ll probably notice the main theme is coziness. The first few mom months mean a lot of time at home, recovering and adjusting to your new normal. This will be even more the case during the winter months. I can’t think of anything dreamier than cozying up with my little family this winter.

Yeti Mug: The joke about new moms having to microwave their coffee a thousand times before finishing a cup is true. This mug will keep your beverage hot for hours.
Gap Softspun Joggers: I only want to wear sweats these days; these are perhaps the most comfortable. I sleep in them but also am not embarrassed to wear them out to walk the dog.
Expected and Empowered Workout Guide: Working out post-baby is a major challenge. And I’m talking mentally and physically. I’ve been doing this postpartum guide and I love it. Fitbit Versa: I’m a huge Fitbit fan and the Versa really keeps me moving. As a new mom it can be hard to leave the house and you can get stuck sitting on the couch for hours. Wearing my Fitbit reminds me to get outside, go on a walk, and get in some movement.
Kindle Paperwhite: I love my Kindle! I try to get in bed on the earlier side these days and always spend some time reading. I love the light so I can read next to my sleeping baby.
Anthropologie Twist Headband: Personally I’m pretty happy it’s winter because it gives me an excuse to wear a hat or big headband for the foreseeable future (who has time to do their hair with a baby to take care of?). Love this one from Anthropologie.
Apple Airpods: I didn’t want to love these because I think they look silly, but I truly love them! They are great for listening to podcasts or watching TV if the babe is sleeping, and also great for phone calls on the go (without getting tangled in headphone cords while holding a grabby baby). My favorite feature is that if you take one out of your ear it pauses your podcast/music. If you often walk with a dog or a baby, a lot of people stop to talk to you, and this is way easier than trying to manually pause what you’re listening to!
Zoe Lev Jewelry Initial Necklace: I love these dainty initial necklaces and I think any mom would love one with their baby’s initial. Matt got me this on our wedding day with my new initials (AM), which also fits for Amanda & Millie 🙂
Nespresso Vertuo Machine: I am obsessed with my morning coffee. And I love that with Nespresso you don’t need to set, measure, or clean your coffee maker. The milk frother is a must.
Vital Proteins Vanilla Collagen Creamer & Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides: I love this punch of protein in my morning coffee. The original option adds no taste, but if I’m in the mood for something a little more decadent, I use the vanilla or mocha flavors. So good. It’s great for new moms because you know you’re getting important nutrition in a simple way. There are a few coffee-themed gifts here. It would be fun to bundle this, the Nespresso & the Yeti mug!
Pottery Barn Cozy Blanket: Give me all the cozy blankets! New moms will love snuggling up with their baby and this extra soft blanket.
Aerie Fuzzy Sherpa Robe: Especially if the new mom in your life is breastfeeding, a comfy robe is key. Also a good robe can protect against spit up (ah the glamorous mom life!).
