May kinda flew by, right? Hopefully you’ve been following along with my Bike Month posts (1, 2, 3, 4) and while May came and went, you’ve still got a whole summer ahead of you for riding! So if you haven’t already gotten yourself a new set of wheels, I highly suggest you do it soon.
Whether you’re using it to commute to work or to compete in a triathlon, you can find the right bike by checking out my Schwinn Bike Guide.
This weekend at the Black Bear Triathlon my love of cycling was re-awakened. The course was a super hilly 18-miles, probably the hilliest ride I’ve ever done. The type of hills where if you hesitate or slow down you’re likely to just fall over (luckily this did not happen to me!). It may have been a little scary at moments but it really just made me want to get out and bike more! Sure, I’m on a stationary bike at spin class 5x a week but nothing compares to the fresh air of an outdoor ride.
Now that the weather is getting better by the day, I’m planning to ride my Schwinn Gateway to and from spin classes as well as around the city on the weekends. I’ll also planning to take my road bike on longer and more challenging rides to help prepare me for the NYC Tri and the Nations Tri, both coming towards the end of summer.
And now as we bid Bike Month adieu, we can say hello to National Running Day, this Wednesday, June 4th! Schedule some time to get a few miles in and join in the running frenzy.
