Cardio + Strength Training in Under an Hour

Last night I had about an hour of free time between work and a volunteer meet & greet for Girls on the Run (a non profit I’m joining and very excited about!). It was perfect weather for running outside but with limited time, I headed to the gym instead for a 3 run on the treadmill and the below circuit workout from PopSugar Fitness. From start to finish my workout took under an hour. 

As instructed, I did each move 15 times and each circuit 3 times. I used 7.5 pound dumbbells which proved super challenging for 2 of the moves (scarecrows and reverse lunge & press) but a good weight for the rest. Those two moves I only made it to about 5 reps before ditching the weights, I would have been better served with 5 pound weights for those but was too lazy to get them. 

I found the circuits to be just the right amount of challenge. I was sweating and am feeling a little sore today. It’s a great routine since all it requires is two dumbbells, an excellent workout to do at home. Bookmarking this for future use! Download the routine HERE.
