Last week I missed #4 for a work event, oh well, it happens. So lets move on to a review of session #5 from last night. As predicted a couple of weeks back, class was going to get harder each week. This routine was no joke.
Warm Up:For 5 minutes we did as many reps of the following:
- 5 Burpees, 5 Deadlifts
Workout:
- 800 meter run around the block (½ mile) at full speed
- 50 Pull Ups
- 100 Push Ups
- 150 Squats
- 800 meter run around the block at full speed
Doing 50 pull ups, 100 push ups & 150 squats is really tough. The rule was to get all the reps done, as long as it took. For the pull ups and push ups I did about 10 in a row, took a few seconds break, then continued until I was finished. For the squats it seemed easiest to just power through and not stop. It’s crazy how much harder the second 800 meter run is after you’ve been pushing yourself through all those reps. The whole routine took me about 22 minutes. It would be interesting to do this every so often and try to improve my time.
Try it out, see how long it takes you!
