I’m really looking forward to my workout with C-Lo tonight. The sun is shining, the weather is a lovely 84 degrees and I have a new routine for us to try out. We will be heading to the West Side Highway and if we play our cards right, we might be there at the perfect time to see the sunset. Here’s what I have in store for the bride-to-be (24 days to go!)
Warm Up: Approx 1 Mile Run (we’ll start at my apartment along Central Park and run over to the stairs at the West Side Highway in the low 60s)
Circuit:
- Run up and down the stairs* 5 times
- Stop at the bottom of the stairs and do 20 Lunge Front Kicks (10 on each side)
- 15 Jumping Jacks
- 10 Dips on the nearby bench
- 10 Push Ups
:60 break, then repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 rounds
Abs Circuit:
(The first 4 moves of this sequence are done without any breaks and without dropping the plank position)
- :30 Center Plank
- :30 Side Plank
- :30 Side Plank
- :15 Center Plank
- 30 Second Breather
- Center Plank with 5 Leg Lifts per side
:60 break, then repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 rounds.
Cool Down: Approximately 1 mile run back to my apartment

*if you plan to do this workout elsewhere, this particular set of stairs is about 40 high. You can also do this at bleachers in a stadium.
