This weekend I’m heading up to Sharon, MA and competing in the Sharon Triathlon. I’m pretty excited, it’s my first sprint triathlon (about half the distance of the NYC Tri) and the swim takes place in a pretty lake, NOT the Hudson River. Overall, the course is very different than the NYC Tri. It’s a lot flatter, no big hills to fight against and it’s set in a nice and calm suburb. While the swim will be much more pleasant in a lake, there won’t be a current helping me along my way so I’m a bit nervous for that. It will be interesting to see how swimming current-less affects my pace.
For the past 4 triathlons I’ve competed in I’ve worn tri shorts and a tri tank. This time around I’m switching it up and I’ll be wearing a tri suit, pretty legit, right? SUGOI was generous enough to send me an RS Tri Suit to race in! I’m looking forward to testing it out and will let you know how it goes!
