What do you guys think about me filling this out every few weeks? Let’s give it a try, here we go:
What I’m reading: I just finished Wonder, which is a really sweet book that is geared towards children but equally as enjoyable for adults. I think every 5th grade kid (& adult) should read this for a lesson in kindness. It took a couple of days to get through and is worth a read.
What I’m watching: A better question would be, what am I not watching? There are so many shows I’m currently into, all of them trashy. Bachelor, Real World (yes, it’s making a comeback for me), The Challenge, Vanderpump. My TV habits are a bit embarrassing, deal with it.
What I’m listening to: I just went on a run and listened to The Right Reasons podcast which is basically a podcast that talks about all the above TV shows. Normally when I’m running, music is a must so I wasn’t sure that a podcast would do the trick but it totally did. My run was 40 mins as was this week’s podcast and it kept me entertained the whole time.
What I’m cooking: I work at Seventeen and we share a floor in the Hearst Tower with The Food Network Magazine so the freebie table is always covered in cookbooks. My coworker saw The Performance Paleo Cookbook and snagged it for me. Currently working my way through, tonight I’m planning to make the “Badass Bowl”- a sort of Paleo-friendly burrito bowl.
What I’m training for: Big news, officially signed up for the Syracuse Ironman 70.3! It’s 22 weeks away and this is week 1 of training. I’ll be working with a coach and our actual training hasn’t kicked off yet but I’m starting on my own with the help of a training plan from passtheranch (thank you Steph!) to get back into the motion of tri training. I’ll be filling you in along the way, stay tuned for more on that.
Where I’m going: Lots of trips on the calendar, first one up is Vermont for snowboarding this weekend. Love that I have a group of friends that plan multiple ski trips each season. This one will be extra fun because it will include two dogs and a baby!
