Happy holidays everyone! I hope you are all having a great holiday season. And as we get ready to jump into 2020, I’ve decided it’s time to get moving on a project that I’ve been thinking about for a long time–my own bootcamp!
This has been in the back of my mind for many years. I have been teaching group fitnesses classes for 10+ years and have always wanted to start my own thing. And now I’m excited to announce that I’m launching my very own bootcamp, coming in January 2020!
Why Now?
As a new mom, I’ve found it particularly hard (or if we’re being honest, somewhat impossible) to prioritize working out. I truly never thought this would be the case for me. I’ve always been an early morning workout girl and figured that once there was a baby in the picture, I’d continue with a 6am wake up and get my work out done before the baby was even awake.
LOL to all of my pre-baby expectations.
Fitness and health are things that I want to prioritize, but with a baby everything really does change. Now that I’m 6 months into motherhood, I know that I can make working out happen, but this is much easier if my baby can join me. And that’s why I’m launching the Shapin Up Bootcamp!
Since becoming a mom, I’ve been making lots of mom friends. I’ve discussed the workout options with my mom friends and many of us feel the same way. We want to do it, but with all the other baby-things, it just doesn’t happen. We’ve tried various mommy & me workouts and share the feeling that while fun for baby and a great way to get out of the house, they usually don’t feel like a real workout (which is totally ok, but sometimes mama needs that real workout!).
New Mama, This is For You!
This bootcamp is for moms who want to bring their baby with them to the gym, but still want a really good workout. This 9-week program is focused on the mama, but baby can be right nearby the whole time. Alternatively, if your baby is at daycare, you can come without baby as well.
This workout is for women of all fitness levels. It is a small group training style (max 8 participants) so you will have individualized attention, allowing you to focus on your personal goals.
Program Breakdown
This bootcamp will be a 9-week program, with 16 classes total. To start, we’ll have a one-on-one call to discuss where you are in your fitness journey and what you hope to accomplish. Throughout the 9 weeks you’ll receive weekly emails with recipes, at-home workout ideas, health and wellness tips and more. Additionally, throughout the program there will be fun giveaways you can look forward to.
About the Workouts
To give you a glimpse into what workouts will look like, these will be 60-minute sessions. Classes will consist of a warm up, conditioning moves including weights, body weight, TRX, medicine balls and other varied equipment, and a cool down/stretch session. Every class will be different and will continually build your strength and stamina.
This workout is appropriate for all levels, whether you worked out during pregnancy and are looking to ease back into things, are brand new to fitness, and everything in between. I can work with you to modify workouts if you are dealing with an injury, diastasis recti or pelvic floor issues.
Sign Up Options
Ideally I’d love for everyone to sign up for the full 9-week program as this will be the best way for us to work together. By signing up for the full program you’ll be making a commitment to yourself to show up week after week. It can be hard to prioritize “me” time as a mom, and this is your chance to put yourself first (with baby along for the ride too!).
However, I know life gets in the way and that isn’t possible for everyone. If the full program does not fit into your schedule, there is an 8-class pack or a drop-in rate available as well. Space is limited to 8 participants per class. Further below is the breakdown of options with all details included (cost, time, location, etc).
