Happy Friday everyone! What are you up to this weekend? We’re heading two hours north up the coast of Spain to the beach town Cadaques (doesn’t it look cute?) . It’s been on my wish list and I’m glad the summer weather has arrived so we can finally go!
Before we head out of town, I’m sharing a Friday Fitness park workout that I created this month for DCRefined.com. Cardio is a key piece of a balanced workout plan. But if you’re like me, sometimes you’re just not in the mood for a long run. Instead of hitting the pavement with a steady pace for 30 minutes, this workout mixes up your routine.
Cardio + Strength Park Workout
The workout is split into 9 small running sections. The first run is the longest at 6 minutes and each round gets shorter. And since the run time gets shorter, try to make your pace faster each round. After each run there’s a body weight exercise to complete, some using a park bench or step. It’s low on equipment but will get your heart rate up.
