Over the past week I had the opportunity to try out Vega Bars, have you had them? They are delicious while also being good for you. They are plant-based, Non-GMO, gluten free and made without artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners- they are full of real, all-natural ingredients. That is pretty hard to come by in bar and while I try to steer clear of packages bars, these are totally different. With Vega, I know that when I’m in a rush and don’t have time to prepare a meal I can still get something nutritious to eat.
Something else unique about the bars is how they are labeled. I often don’t know if a bar I’m eating is supposed to be a meal replacement, a snack, something to eat before, during or after a workout and so on. Vega makes this easy to navigate with specifically labeled bars for each use. I’ve eaten the Vega Snack Bars in between meals at my desk, the Vega One Bar when I don’t have time for breakfast, the Vega Sport Energy Bar before evening workouts when my energy is lagging and finally Vega Protein Bars after a workout to restore what I just worked off.
My most-needed time for a boost is when I’m teaching a cycling class after a long day at work. My energy tends to dip around 3pm and knowing I have to get back on the bike around 6 is rough. These bars were a life (and energy) saver!
Ok so great, they are good for you, but what about the taste? So good! My favorite is the Cranberry Almond Snack Bar but honestly, they are all really tasty.
