Yes, I love to work out and even when I’m feeling low on energy, starting a workout gives me an energy boost. But not all the time. Sometimes when I’m tired or have had a long day, getting up the energy to head out for a run is really hard. To give me an extra boost I recently tried out EBOOST products. The products contain Vitamins C, D, B6, B12 as well as 5-HTP, Resveratrol, Green Tea and Green Coffee, sounds pretty legit, right?
Let’s start with the powders. These sort of remind me of Emergen-C. Just add the powder to water and shake. I loved the acai pomegranate flavor and I felt more motivated heading into my workout. It has no sugar and it’s gluten and soy free, which is important to me. I tried the powder before a workout and also loved drinking this during my Bikram yoga class, it helped to keep me alert in the humidity.
I also tested out one of the shots, also gluten and soy free. I had one of the superberry shots before an afternoon cycling class I was leading. Teaching after a full day at work is exhausting and having this an hour before class made me much more excited about a post-work class. The taste was ok. I wouldn’t say I loved it but it was totally fine. These have 40 calories whereas the powder only has 10.
Overall I’d say I really liked the powder and the shot and would be happy to add these to my pre-workout routine. It’s always hard to say with these types of products if they are really giving you more energy or if it has a placebo effect but really, does it matter? Whether I actually have more energy or just feel like I do, it’s going to get me to the gym and it’s going to ensure a better workout than going into it exhausted.
How do you get yourself pumped up for a workout when you’re low on energy?
