Recently I was lucky enough to try out a new workout clothing brand, Fabletics. I was initially interested because Kate Hudson was involved so I did a little research- this is a membership service, you create a lifestyle profile (what types of workouts do you do, outside or inside, favorite colors, etc) and then each month you’ll receive personalized outfits based on your profile that you can either buy or skip, there is no obligation to purchase.
If you don’t want to sign up for a VIP membership you can buy pieces individually but the prices become a bit higher (although still well-priced).
I like that each month you have the option to buy a complete outfit, I hate when my workout gear clashes (as an instructor with all eyes on me, I like to wear outfits that look put together). Another cool thing about Fabletics is that Kate Hudson puts together a look each month and if these workout clothes get me a step closer to looking like Kate, sign me up! Have you seen her dancing around on Glee? I mean, talk about dream body…
But I digress, let’s review the clothes! I tried out the Nadi Legging, the Zaza long sleeve top and the Soho hoodie. To really get a feel for the pieces, I’ve lounged around in them, worked out in them and also wore them recently to travel to Austin. Verdict: I’m a fan! The pieces are really well made and the fabric is great for both lounging and working out. In particular I love the Soho hoodie which is an awesome cobalt blue. It’s longer than most of my zip ups, making it extra cozy when paired with leggings.
Aside from what I now own, I’m lusting after the infinity scarf and the Sydney legging.
Size-wise, I think this brand runs a bit big. All of my pieces were size small but I think an XS would have fit better. This isn’t surprising because this brand also has XXS. If you’re normally a small, I would suggest an XS in Fabletics but if you like a little more room, stick with the small.
If you’re looking for new workout gear, check out the site and join, lots of cute stuff available!
