Have I told you guys about one of my favorite snacks, Kind Bars? Well, they are amazing and the people behind these bars are ALSO amazing (thank you for sending me these goodies Kind Folks!). What I love most about these bars is that they are made up of clean, simple ingredients. As someone who tries (and usually fails) at following a Paleo lifestyle, these bars are made of real food- all-natural whole nuts, fruits and whole grains.

Kind Bars are the perfect grab and go snacks, but what I’m loving most about them right now is eating them as a pre-run fuel up. I don’t tend to give myself much time in the mornings before my long runs start so I need something that is easy on the stomach. On Saturday I had one about 10 minutes before starting my 20-mile run and I felt great, not weighed down and no stomach cramps.

On marathon morning I’m going to be awake for approx 5 hours before I actually start running (gah) so you bet I’m going to stash a few of these in my pocket as I head to Staten Island.
