This weekend I cashed in on a gift card i had for new running shoes. The only catch was that I had to use it towards full-price Adidas shoes. I’m an Asics girl so while I was conflicted I went ahead and picked up these cuties (they are kinda cute and kinda ugly all at the same time):
I really wasn’t feeling great about any of the options but the guy helping me told me that people win marathons in these so…I bought them. They are much lighter than my current pair so I’m curious to see how they will feel on my next run.
I left the store feeling guilty about buying new shoes that I wasn’t 100% sure about. With my gift card I was able to get them for $50 (instead of paying $115) but I was still feeling iffy about the purchase. Then, a few blocks away from the shop I was walking along and saw a big wad of cash on the sidewalk. I never know what to do in these situations but it was literally just cash (and a lot of it) folded up, laying on the sidewalk. I picked it up and stood there openly holding it for about 5 minutes to see if anyone came looking for it. I walked up and down the street and to the corner to make sure no one was missing their money. No one was around and no one appeared distressed. So really, what else could I do with it?
My new found riches made me feel much less guilty about my unnecessary shoe purchase! If you found a lot of money laying on the ground, what would you do with it?
