There’s nothing better than a warm pot of chili during a snowstorm but while on the paleo diet (meaning beans are a no-no) I didn’t know if this would be possible. After a little internet searching I came up with an ingredient combo that I’m happy to report was paleo-friendly and hearty/tasty. Here you go:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of lean ground turkey
- 4 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 large carrots, chopped
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cans diced, fire-roasted tomatoes
- 1 can pumpkin purree
- Dash of Salt
- Dash of Pepper
- Dash of Cayenne Pepper
To Prepare:
- Cook the turkey on the stove until browned
- Place turkey plus all other ingredients into a crock pot and put on low for about 6-8 hours
Ok that’s it, easiest recipe ever? I think so.
