Last night kicked off the 30-day challenge, and I’ll be honest, it was pretty rough. I haven’t taken Bikram since October 2010 so it took me a bit to get my bearings. Once we started through the poses I was pleasantly surprised that I remembered a lot. However, I was unpleasantly surprised by how steamy the room was; it seemed a lot hotter than I remember and I felt nauseous halfway through for about 20 minutes. 105 degree heat really takes its toll on you! After the class was over I felt a little shaky, but ok.
This morning Sara and I went to a 6:15am class and I’m happy to say this class felt 100 times better. I didn’t feel sick, I didn’t have to sit down for any poses, I liked the teacher a lot and overall it encouraged me to feel like I can really get through all 30 days. Off to a good start!
