This weekend I’m pumped to be heading up to Killington, VT for a weekend of snowboarding and hanging out with friends. I’ve been boarding since high school and while some of my gear is 10+ years old, other pieces are new to my collection. Here’s a look at my must-haves for a weekend on the slopes:
- Burton Snowboard: I’m fully obsessed with my board and I’ve had it since I was 16. Perhaps it’s time for a new one soon, but not yet! You can see a pic of mine below, but here’s a newer one if you’re on the market.
- Burton Boots: Last year I finally upgraded my boots since my feet were killing me on the slopes. Note to self, don’t wait 10 years to buy new boots, they are key to being comfortable and enjoying your day on the mountain.
- Burton Snowboard Bag: I love these bags because not only do they protect my board, they allow for enough room to also store my boots, snow-pants and jacket.
- Columbia Jacket: Warm and waterproof, need I say more?
- North Face Snow Pants: Not too bulky but still manage to keep you warm.
- Lululemon Bold in the Cold Pant: Fleece lined pants to wear under your snow pants for added warmth. I’m always cold on the mountain so multiple layers are a must for me.
- Lululemon Run Under Long Sleeve: Another good layering piece for extra warmth on the slopes.
- Sorel Joan of Arctic Boots: Ideal hanging-around boots; perfect for your trip to and from the mountain or for going on a wintery walk.
Other must-haves before getting on the chair lift: goggles, helmet, gloves, hat, neck warmer.
