We are in the midst of wedding season, and whether you are a bride, a bridesmaid, or a guest, it’s the perfect motivation to get fit and look good in that dress! One of my best friends is getting married in a little over and a month and she enlisted me as her trainer to get her in the best shape of her life for the bachelorette party at the beach, the wedding, and the honeymoon.
Last night was Session #1 of Bridal Bootcamp. Below was our workout*
Warm Up: Run a lower loop of the park (1.7 Miles)
Circuit 1:
- 5 Push Ups
- 10 Burpees
- 15 Squats
- :30 Mountain Climbers
(Complete circuit 5 Times)
Circuit 2:
- 5 Dips on a bench
- 10 Standing Lunges (on each side)
- 15 Sit Ups
- :30 Jumping Jacks
(Complete circuit 5 Times)
Circuit 3 (Abs)
- Center Plank (:30)
- Side Plank (:20 & 8 dips per side)
- Side Crunch (25 per side)
- Bicycle Crunch (30 per side)
- 10 Elbow Push Ups (down down up up)
- 20 Leg Lowers
(Complete 2 Times)
Cool Down: Run 1 mile cool down
The goal is to keep the break time between each circuit as short as possible. For some we did a 60 second break and for others we did zero break time. Challenge yourself to keep you breaks short and to eventually complete all circuits with no break.
It was a successful (and sweaty) first session!
