Oops, looks like blogging fell of my radar for the past couple of weeks. Here’s what you’ve missed:
- I got a new job! Was sad to leave Bravo but have moved on to IFC. Any Portlandia fans out there?
- I took a lil in-between-jobs trip to Dallas to visit bestie Genniva of Somewear to Be (are you following her blog yet? If not, get on it!).
Here are some highlights of the Dallas vacay:
- G is my workout soul mate, whenever we are together we eat way too much and then balance it out with intense workouts (man I miss her living in NYC!). One workout took place at White Rock, a beautiful lake approximately 10 miles around. G biked and I ran. It was a mere 85 degrees in Dallas so the outdoor workout was tougher than expected.
.
- We visited the Dallas Equinox which of course is extravagant and amazing. G introduced me to the 45-minute conditioning class Metcon (EQ Description: Meet your goals head on and fully amped in body and mind! Perfectly scripted, this high-intensity metabolic conditioning workout taxes all 3 energy systems and acts like a fat-incinerator to ensure results that leave you fit and motivated for the demands of your life.) It’s an intense class that I plan to take again.
- We indulged in classic Tex-Mex food. Yum.

- Enjoyed this decadent and delicious corn from Velvet Taco. Thank goodness it’s located only in Dallas and far out of my reach.

- Drank perhaps the #1 Michelada I’ve ever had. A must when G and I are together.

- And just observed all the greatness that Texas has to offer. For instance, it’s perfectly normal for this man to be carrying around a deer head.

And that brings us back to present day!
