This morning I worked out at the Equinox on 17th & 10th Ave (after a slumber party at the Dream Hotel with Genniva of www.someweartobe.com). It was our first time attempting 30/60/90, described by the gym as:
“A high intensity interval training workout consisting of cardio, strength training, plyometrics and static holds designed to get you into the best shape of your life. Very challenging but modifiable for all levels.”
This one-hour class is something I’d recommend to get you out of a workout rut. Since I’ve been spinning and running so much, I’ve been neglecting interval and strength training, which I really need to get back into since it gives you the best results in terms of changing and toning your body. While 30/60/90 didn’t use too many weights, the quick movements definitely made us work up a sweat.
Throughout the class we used a variety of weights, a medicine ball and a step. As a first timer, I will admit my form wasn’t so great, but if I can fit this into my workout schedule I think it is a class to easily pick up better form in. Not my favorite class at Equinox, but did enjoy it and would take it again.
Do you have a workout class you recommend? Send it my way and I’ll post it for Shapin’ Up readers to try!
Yep, when you head to the gym at 6:30am it’s pitch black out. Brutal welcome to the winter months.
