Morning Spin/Run

This morning I did my typical Wednesday UES spin class and run home combo.  When heading to the UES at 5:45am I pack on the essentials, making sure they can all fit in the tiny back pocket of my spandex pants.  Here are the necessities for this lovely 1.5 hour workout:

  • Heart Rate Monitor Band + Watch
  • Credit Card (incase of a cab needing emergency)
  • Subway card for ride up
  • Photo ID (because my mom always told me to carry this when I workout alone)
  • iPod for spin class
  • Spare iPod shuffle incase iPod #1 decides to freeze again
  • Keys off the keychain, as little as possible
  • 75 cents to buy a coffee on my way to class

I enjoyed class this morning (love my UES followers!) and the run home was perfect with the cool weather (although it’s going to be around 90 degrees later).  Once home (and 575 calories have been burned) I made my standard healthy breakfast consisting of scrambled egg whites and my favorite peach salsa from Trader Joe’s. Perfect start to the day!
