Protein Shake Down

Looking for a quick snack before a big workout to give you that extra boost of energy? I love grabbing a protein shake to get me going.  These are also great post-workout to refuel the body, helping with repairing muscles after a tough session.

Two of my favorites:

100 Calorie Muscle Milk

It’s a quick drink– pretty small and not too filling but really gives you some extra energy to burn.  Available in chocolate and vanilla, at 100 calories and 4 carbs it’s a perfect go-to pick-me-up.

Pure Protein

If you’re looking for something more substantial, this is a good option. Available in a variety of flavors, this drink has 170 calories and only 4 carbs.  Too heavy on the calories? There are lower calorie options of this drink available as well (100 Calorie Pure Proteins, available in chocolate and vanilla)
