I’m going to jump on the resolution-blog-listing bandwagon so all my ShapinUp followers can hold me accountable. Here is what I’m thinking for 2012:
- Train for the Half Marathon: I’m signed up for the NYC half in March and it will be my third time running the race. Each time I do a race I tell myself I will train for it, then just don’t. This year, I will train in hopes of reaching my goal; finishing the race in under 1:54.
- Drink More Water: It’s just plain silly how little water I drink. Even during a spin class I sometimes only have a few sips. Not good. Cheers to more water drinking this year.
- Bring Lunch: When I don’t bring lunch to work I easily spend $8-$10 on a salad. With better planning I will be able to save some $$ while having a healthy meal.
- Save Money: Along with the money I hope to save by bringing lunch, I want to be better about money this year. I’m pretty good but thinking I could do better.
- Blog More: I have a lot of fitness tips to share and sometimes I’m too lazy to post. Would like to put more effort into ShapinUp.
- Read 1 Book Per Month: I love to read but often find myself lazy and watching too much TV. While I don’t plan to drop any of my shows, I will add more reading time in (like when I get stuck watching a marathon of Friends re-runs–that’s ideal book-readin’ time).
- Drop 5 pounds: It doesn’t sound like much, but I know I’d feel different 5 pounds lighter, lets see how this goes.
- Workout Goals (a continuation from December): Weights 3x per week, Run 2x per week, Spin 6x per week (when teaching)
Those are the goals I’m willing to publicly announce. I have a few more up my sleeve though.
I will give a status update at the end of January on Month #1 went.
